Jane Henschke is an astute Corporate Affairs Advisor having worked at the highest levels of Australian broadcast media and government affairs. From radio and television newsrooms to Canberra’s Parliament House, Jane has spent more than 31 years helping shape news agendas across the country.
During her journalism career, Jane has been Network Ten’s News Manager in Queensland, responsible for the State’s newsroom and its nightly bulletins. As a member of senior staff, she helped guide coverage of many natural disasters including floods, cyclones, and bushfires, federal and state elections and budgets, as well as major breaking news stories. She’s also worked across radio, reported for Nine News Sydney, as well as being a political correspondent in the Canberra Press Gallery.
She knows how newsrooms work and has been a judge for both the prestigious Walkley Awards as well as Queensland’s own Clarions, which recognise excellence in journalism.
