Four ways to use social media to your advantage
In the digital age we live in, PR agencies can no longer avoid the impact social media has on the industry. With nearly half of the world’s population using social media platforms, they’re a natural place to reach new and highly targeted potential clients.
Adoni Media has established a presence on several social media platforms to increase brand awareness and it’s showing results. Here are four social media activities we’d recommend for any PR agency.
1. Display the team
Some of Adoni Media’s best performing Instagram posts consist of staff profiles, as this type of content enables clients to understand the friendly faces they’re working with at Adoni. The ability to create real human connection is one of the key benefits of social media for business. After all, building your brand is just as important as building the clients!
2. Use Hashtags
Hashtags have the ability to reach a completely new audience, so use them wisely. An effective ‘hashtagging’ method is to use the company’s unique (and punchy) brand or slogan. For instance, we use “#adonimediainterns” as a hashtag on relevant social posts. This enables our interns to join the conversation by applying the hashtag to their own social posts featuring the Adoni brand. We recommend creating distinctive hashtags as this enables viewers to not only find your brand, but identify who you are.
3. Advertise online
Using social media to advertise your brand is vital. Facebook in particular, as the largest social network out there, must be given attention. While the ever-changing Facebook algorithm often makes it hard to organically reach potential clients, the micro-targeting features of paid ads can help you find an exact target audience. It’s important to make sure you fully understand how online advertising works before buying in though. Facebook ads are beneficial for most, if not all businesses, so what are you waiting for?
4. Be consistent!
Consistency is always key in social media for businesses to grow in engagement and reach. Followers need to be able to recognise your brand without a second thought, which is why maintaining a certain style/tone is critical. Whether it’s the tone of voice used in the ‘DMs’, or the aesthetics of your online profile, make sure it’s aligned. Know your audience!
