Nicky Haydon

Senior Account Manager

Nicky Haydon is a former Seven News Executive Producer who has worked at the highest levels of broadcast journalism across Seven, Ten and the ABC. Nicky is also a highly accomplished communications expert who worked as a Senior Media Advisor in the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

Nicky Haydon has worked in the broadcast industry for more than 16 years as both a Senior Reporter and Executive Producer for Brisbane’s top rating news programs.

Her career started at the ABC as a radio, TV and online journalist where she regularly covered State Politics and Court before taking the plunge into commercial television with Network Ten.  There she worked her way up to become a Senior Journalist – covering a variety of stories, including natural disasters around Queensland, the Queensland Health inquiry, assignments to Malaysia and Singapore and a fair bit of celebrity fun on the Gold Coast (interviewing Gordon Ramsay, Jerry Lewis and Paris Hilton were the most memorable!).

In late 2012 Nicky joined the team at Channel 7 as a Senior Reporter and by 2015 accepted a position to launch the state-wide 4pm News as Executive Producer – a program she steered to its ratings-winning position for 3 consecutive years. She regularly produced the 6pm News Bulletin and enjoyed stints producing News and Sunrise segments in Sydney.

Around periods of maternity leave Nicky was a Senior Political Media Advisor – in the Department of Premier and Cabinet for then Police Minister Jack Dempsey and Health Minister Lawrence Springborg

Nicky not only knows what makes a story – but her in-depth knowledge of the media scene, and her impressive contact book, give clients the best chance of getting the coverage they desire.
