A local runner renowned for donning famous faces to raise money for a worthy cause will this weekend transform into The Incredible Hulk for the Gold Coast Marathon.
In the past, Chris Dale has dressed up as Batman, Captain America and even Thor to raise funds for charity ahead of the annual running event.
This year he’s turning green, becoming Hulk, to raise funds for Save The Children using online fundraising platform Everydayhero.
“My passion is helping disadvantaged children, and Save The Children does a great job,” Chris said.
“Every child deserves the right to health, education and protection. That’s what I’m fighting for and that’s what The Hulk is fighting for.”
After working in welfare for more than a decade in the United Kingdom and Australia, Chris said he decided to become a hero to inspire children and adults alike.
“Who doesn’t love a superhero? And Everydayhero is the best platform to raise money for the charity of your choice,” he said.
“It’s super easy to use and reliable because you know exactly where your money is going. As a fundraiser, when you’ve poured your heart and soul into a project, that’s not something you want to worry about.”
Everydayhero’s Managing Director Pascale Harvie said it was inspiring to see Australians like Chris fighting hard to support others.
“We are so proud of Chris, a true superhero, who’s come very close to hitting his fundraising goal of $2,000 for Save The Children ahead of the Gold Coast Marathon,” Ms Harvie said.
“At Everydayhero we believe in providing fundraisers with the support they need to power ahead with their cause – like The Hulk is doing right now!”
