With a stable of new clients joining our roster in 2025, we are excited to offer an opportunity for a new PR Account Manager to join our Adoni Media team.

The role provides scope to work with corporates, charities, and government organisations across Australia on proactive and reactive PR, Crisis Communications, and be involved in highly specialised Media Training.

The position is based in Adoni Media’s Brisbane office.

You’ll be joining a team of media experts who value honesty, transparency, and teamwork to achieve the best communication outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities include: client and media liaison, media planning, media release writing and distribution, and media event management.

To succeed in this role, you’ll have exceptional people skills, exemplary work ethic, attention to detail, and a drive to create stories and campaigns that get noticed.

You’ll find our team friendly, supportive, and proud to work together. You’ll report directly to the Communications Director and Managing Director.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop PR campaigns that support our clients in achieving their communication goals
  • Identify media opportunities and markets for client campaigns, and assist with overall client strategy
  • Create Media Releases and other Media Assets, which may include audio and video material, to support launches and campaigns
  • Work directly with clients and relevant stakeholders, including regular meetings
  • Confidently present PR plans, story ideas, and campaign results to clients and stakeholders
  • Build and maintain relationships with relevant media organisations and journalists
  • Liaise with media and proactively pitch story ideas to journalists
  • Attend and organise media calls with relevant journalists
  • Contribute to social media for Adoni Media and its clients
  • Contribute to and support business growth

Experience:

  • At least 3+ years of PR/corporate communications or journalism experience
  • Proven track record in delivering results
  • Proven ability to write for a range of different media
  • A network of media contacts
  • Proven ability to develop positive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, both internal and external

Requirements

  • Clear, confident and creative written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to write Media Releases and develop material for media kits, news stories, reports, blogs, and social media content
  • Confidence to pitch to media, run meetings, and give presentations to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a variety of tasks and work to deadline
  • Strong time management skills, and personal efficiency
  • Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving
  • Strong network of media industry contacts
  • Confidence to pursue client opportunities
  • Honesty and integrity in all job responsibilities
  • Positive, energetic self-starter who is results driven
  • Microsoft Office and MS Excel
  • Adobe and Canva knowledge is an advantage

PR and Communications Assistant

About the Role

Starting out in PR? This is a great opportunity to join Adoni Media Public Relations as a PR and Communications Assistant based in the agency’s Brisbane office. The role will see you supporting Adoni Media’s experienced team and working with clients across PR, Media Training, Crisis Communications, and Video Production.

The Job:

A full-time role where you can put your creativity, initiative, strategic thinking, writing skills, and attention to detail into supporting PR campaigns, activations, and client relations with corporates, charities, and other organisations across Australia.

Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day support of PR campaigns, including strategy, media, liaison, and reporting
  • Writing high-quality articles, blogs, and media releases
  • Contribute to PR planning and crisis communication activation
  • Confidently carry out media and client liaison
  • Build relationships with journalists, producers, and editors across television, radio, print, and online
  • Create and deliver social media strategies and drive content creation across a range of platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube for Adoni Media and its clients
  • Design social media assets using Canva and other tools
  • Assist with general administrative tasks including organising diaries, and data entry

Required

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Media, Communications, and/or Journalism
  • Some experience in a Communications or Public Relations role (can include internships)
  • Positive, energetic self-starter who is results-driven, shows initiative and has a “can do” attitude
  • Honesty and integrity in all job responsibilities
  • Fast learner with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and spoken communications skills
  • An ability to stay organised, meet multiple deadlines, and pay attention to detail in an open, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Programs
  • Knowledge of the following would be an advantage:
    • Canva, Buffer, InDesign, and the Adobe Suite
    • Familiarity with WordPress/uploading blogs and content
    • An understanding of SEO
